My interest in housing began when I was 9 years old, climbing around homes being built in our neighborhood. That interest led me to entering the U of MN School of Architecture. However, it did not take me long to discover that playing Gopher football and enjoying “college life” did not mesh well with me staying in an engineering dept. My other passion was people, and that led me to UW River Falls, where I received a degree in Psychology (with a minor in sociology). In 1977 my two major passions (houses, and the people who buy them) led me to my life’s work as a real estate agent and broker. Much of my career I specialized in new construction, walking my clients through the entire process from design to closing. Twenty years ago my son Jon joined me in the business and became a licensed Realtor. We have been partners ever since as TeamOlson.net. We are very pleased to be partnering with the amazing people at Realty One Group Choice. Their real estate systems, technology, and professionalism are a great match for how we have been striving to serve our clients for decades. 46 years in real estate… and we’re still having fun. When I am not working for my clients, I am most happy to be exploring in a boat or on a bicycle, cheering on my 12(!) grandkids in all of their activities, or just watching TV with my best friend (my wife Kathy).
